Hardware Diagnostics, Data Loss & Service Disclaimer
Last Updated: October 4, 2026 • Mandatory disclosure for all customers submitting equipment.
MANDATORY BACKUP REQUIREMENT
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING AND VERIFYING INDEPENDENT BACKUPS OF ALL DATA PRIOR TO SUBMITTING YOUR DEVICE TO MJ SOLUTION.
While technicians handle customer hardware with the highest care, diagnostic routines, thermal stress tests, component micro-soldering, and firmware flashes can precipitate the sudden, irreversible demise of already unstable, stressed, or failing components (such as NAND flash modules, hard disk spindles, and magnetic platters).
1. No Liability for Data Loss
MJ Solution, its technicians, contractors, and owners shall NOT be held liable for any loss of software, data, emails, business databases, financial records, photos, operating system corruption, or third-party license reactivation costs occurring during diagnosis, storage, transport, or repair.
2. Pre-Existing Latent Defects & Liquid Damage Notice
Electronic devices that have suffered liquid exposure, corrosion, drops, electrical surges, or overheating frequently have latent, progressive micro-fractures and oxidized solder joints. Inspection or cleaning may cause latent damage to manifest as total power failure or complete loss of display. You explicitly acknowledge this inherent risk when authorizing diagnostics on liquid-damaged or physically compromised electronics.
3. Manufacturer Warranties
Disassembly, aftermarket component upgrades, or board-level repairs performed by independent technicians may void the original manufacturer warranty (e.g., Apple, Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS). MJ Solution assumes no responsibility if the original manufacturer denies subsequent warranty claims.
4. Data Recovery Disclaimer
Data recovery services are attempted on a best-effort basis. Success cannot be guaranteed. Submitting storage drives for recovery authorizes deep sector read cycles that can permanently exhaust failing drive heads. Diagnostic fees for data recovery evaluations are non-refundable regardless of outcome.
5. Passwords & Account Access
If you provide device credentials or PINs to facilitate hardware testing, you are advised to change any critical banking, email, or master passwords prior to check-in or immediately upon device return.
